The Social Safety Network (Sosafe) adheres to all provincial and federal privacy laws in Canada.

Information collected by the Social Safety Network is retained for 30 days on a secure server in accordance with the law.

If a contact event occurs, numbers and first names that were in proximity to that individual or party are provided to the establishment. Rather than call every patron, the establishment will only call those people that were present at the same time as the affected individual.

Otherwise, data will not be shared, traded, sold or otherwise revealed during the 30 days required by authorities. And individuals will be notified at the 30 day mark, when their name and number is expunged from the server.
